It seems that there’s no uniform method for cleaning electronic cigarettes atomizers no matter what is the model of e-cigarettes. There are some preparations for atty cleansing on the market, but they aren’t always cost effective. Some users search for ways of adding life span to their atomizer by using different chemicals. Others find their own way of cleaning corresponding to the taste and flavor they prefer in some cases. In both cases they use homemade mixtures and methods for cleansing. Here are some of them:

1. The atomizer is poured with hot water flush, then shaken and blown dry. Though this method is helpless with putting the mint taste out.

2. The atomizer is boiled for 5 minutes in water with a little vinegar or oven for 10 minutes. Users claim that this method can kill the mint and menthol taste in the atomizer.

3. There are e-smokers using the so called “cola soaking method”. The atomizer is left in a glass with cola for 24 hours. Then it’s rinsed with hot water and dried. The main flaw of the method is that it takes more than a day and a half to take effect.

4. Vodka is also used as a cleaning tool. The atty is blown before cleaning. Vodka is poured in the cart end, then the openings are covered with fingers and the whole thing is shaken gently for 2 minutes. Then the atty is rinsed with hot water. It can be left to dry out at night. This method is mainly used for eliminating strong-tasting liquid.

5. Another method is leaving the atty on a paper towel upside down. In the morning some liquid is run out.

6. Running the atomizer under warm water, adding a little detergent, rinsing well, drying it with a hairdryer and leaving it unused for a night is an option tried out by many users.

7. The e-smoker fills the atomizer with vinegar almost to the top. Then shakes it and repeats the process. Then it’s put under extremely hot water – nearly boiling. The atomizer is being blown and rinsed again. Then dried with a hairdresser.

Still there are some e-smokers who don’t like to clean their e-cigarettes too much. They state that the alcohol cleaning leaves the taste and smell of itself for weeks on. Others stress on the filtering of e-liquids before using them for vapor. Anyway this means a lot of homebrew stuff which few e-smokers possess at home. Let alone that it takes quite a lot of time too.

Some e-smokers find out that the super clean taste following some of the methods displayed above is not satisfying their taste. It’s just TOO clean for them. It even chastens the sharpness of the flavor chosen for vaping afterwards. It probably needs some sludge for odor “just like eggs need some grease to get savory”, shares one e-smoker. Whatever cleaning method you prefer – with special preparation or home made, make sure it suits your taste and that it’s of no danger for your health.
